CPMS101 - Spring 2020

The Privacy Paradox essay from last spring was one assignment that I felt was particularly important to my Media Scholars experience. The "Privacy Paradox" is a concept that suggests teens are immune to outsiders and are subject to a sense of privacy despite posting lots of personal things on social media. Growing up in the social media era, it was easy to agree with this concept. This paradox is a very real thing, as I can relate to many people who post whatever they want. I thought this was a strong assignment, not only because of my grade on it, but also because it helped give me a new perspective on how my generation lives today.
CPMS100 - Fall 2019

This assignment is important to me because it reflects on a visit that I will remember for a very long time. The National Museum of African American History was a special trip for me that I would recommend to any of my peers. I have always loved history and this visit last fall only helped enrich my love for it. Exhibits across the museum, including the sports and press ones, were very eyeopening. This field trip was also one of the first instances where I was able to look at moments in the real world through a Media Scholar perspective.
